Preconceptional, Pregnancy & Post Natal Reflexology

Fertility & Preconceptional Reflexology

Fertility Reflexology gives you the space for calm and relaxation so you can let go of any physical or emotional stress. Conceiving is a complicated science and it is key to be in balance mentally and physically in order to be successful.

Having regular treatments could aid relaxation and result in a reduction in your anxiety, help your sleep patterns and will therefore move you towards the optimum condition for conception. After Reflexology clients often find a change in their cycles which could help to create the right space for ovulation and conception to occur.

Reflexology is suitable at all stages of a monthly cycle and during early pregnancy. It is a very safe and non-invasive form of treatment.

Fertility Reflexology helps with conditions like:

  • Hormonal Health
  • Polycystic Ovaries
  • Fibroids
  • Assisted conception (IVF, ICSI, IUI)
  • Stress & anxiety PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)
  • Pre-Labour (induce labour safe and relaxing way)
  • Post Labour Endometriosis
  • During Pregnancy (morning sickness, low back pain, pelvic pain, heartburn, odema, blood pressure, insomnia)

Pre-Conceptual Reflexology is an excellent therapy for women wishing to conceive. It is well known that anxiety is one of the greatest barriers to conception. High levels of stress hormone conflict with the production of the hormones required for conception. Reflexology during this time is recommended to help relax, lower stress levels and aid natural conception.

Maternity & Labor Reflexology

Reflexology can benefit a woman at every stage of her pregnancy, from conception through all three trimesters, during labour and even post-partum. Pregnancy can be a stressful time for a woman and reflexology can help ease any anxiety and fear she may be experiencing throughout the pregnancy.

It is common for mothers-to-be to worry about many things during their pregnancy, from whether or not they are eating the right foods, to exercising enough or too little and to how they will cope when the baby is born. These worries may develop into anxiety and stress. If stress continues to manifest over long-periods of time, this could in turn result in poor pregnancy health where some of the more common conditions associated with pregnancy are exacerbated.

During Pregnancy: During pregnancy (after week 12) reflexology can provide time for relaxation and can help soothe pregnancy ailments (e.g. morning sickness, backache, insomnia, constipation and general aches and pains), prepare the body for labour and birth, conserve energy for you and the baby and increase oxygen to your body and in turn your baby.

Labour: After week 37 of pregnancy treatments change to incorporate specific reflex points relating to the glands that are directly involved in preparing for labour. Reflexology at this time of the pregnancy can leave women feeling calmer and better prepared mentally and physically for the forthcoming labour and birth.

Post-Natal: Reflexology after birth can help you recover from the exhaustion of labour and help relax you and support you as you adjust to life with a baby. Feeling relaxed will help with breastfeeding and reflexology can help rebalance your hormones to return to their normal pre-natal condition.
